Loose page from a scrapbook album. This album contains newspaper articles and photos having to do with baseball teams and people involved with the teams. They date from early 1900's to 1910 or so.
This page is from 1906 & 1907. One side talks about various games being played in and around the Bay Area. The other side talks about the capture of a man in Benicia after a shootout with James A Malone Jr who was on duty for his father, James Malone Solano County Sheriff. This happened in 1902 and the man escaped from the hospital. He was later identified in 03/03/1906 as a burglar captured in Kansas City, Mo.
The photos that were glued into the scrapbook have been removed to protect them from the acid in the scrapbook pages. The photos are accessioned in the Photo catalogg under the same number as the page but with a letter after the number.Collection
