This is a glass plate negative, 5x7". It was used by Frank J. Stumm in his postcard business. This image was probably taken by Mr. Stumm circa 1908 - 1912.
The image is of the Ferry Boat Solano arriving at the docks in Benicia. There are trains on the deck as well as passengers waiting to disembark. The note on the envelope says this is a copy of Petersen's. This is probably Otto C Petersen (1882 - 1950) who was an amateur photographer in Benicia. He worked as a clerical at the Arsenal for a while around 1910.
