Label

Winchell’s Donut House 1960s Gift of The Route 66 Mother Road Museum The large donut and its Googie-style, triangular frame were displayed above Foothill’s Winchell’s Donut House in Upland, CA until 2004 when the store closed. It is MONA’s only sign from Route 66 and is a gem despite its enormous size. The sign was restored in 2011 and displayed along West Hollywood’s Santa Monica Boulevard to celebrate the city’s 25th anniversary and their own connection to Route 66.
