SEARS 1950s Donated by Jason Garcia and Charles Phoenix Restoration by Richard Ankrom, Kunio Ohashi, and James McDemas Originally located at 5570 N. Rosemead Boulevard in Temple City, CA, this fabulously-scripted Sears sign was rescued by Garcia and Phoenix in 1997. Protected from the elements in Garcia’s garage, much of the neon tubing remained intact. Closer inspection indicates that the sign was painted red over its original green enamel coating, and the color of its glowing tubes was changed from green to red as well.
