A half-plate gelatin silver glass negative showing a view out from the entrance to Victoria Cave. The limestone Victoria Cave is located east of Langcliffe in Ribblesdale and was discovered by chance in 1837. It contained numerous prehistoric bones, the earliest 130,000 years old and included those of hippos, rhinos, elephants and spotted hyenas.
