SETCL : 2022.1.23.38Description
A half-plate gelatin silver glass positive. A view of St James's Church in Clapham. "St James' church is a Grade II listed building. It was largely rebuilt in 1814 (and has some c.1900 alterations), but retains its 15th century tower. The ends of the Jacobean pews have been used as paneling around the walls. This was probably done c.1900 as that is when the current pews date from. The church was rebuilt by the Farrar family of Ingleborough Hall, to whom there are several memorials to in the church."
