A wet plate collodion negative. A view across the north side of St Alkelda's Church Giggleswick, towards Giggleswick School. The buildingwith the square tower and pyramidal roof is from when Giggleswick School was located next to the church (this school building was later demolished). Behind it is the roofline of the new school buildings built ca. 1867+. Sheep graze in the foregound and a female figure stands centre right.
