Delivered before the Public Relations Section of the Joint Conferences of the American College Public Relations Association and the American Alumni Council in Washington, D.C. on July 12th, 1960.

Context

David Finn was a public relations executive, contemporary artist and co-founder of Ruder Finn, a global public relations firm. In his speech, Finn discussed the notoriety of public relations and how public relations images are considered "idolatrous" but can be admired by others as constructive contributions to society.
