Context

T.J. Ross was a public relations pioneer who handled the affairs of John D. Rockefeller, George Washington Hill, President of the American Tobacco Company and Walter P. Chrysler. In his speech, Ross discusses how to achieve success in the field of public relations, quoting Ivy Lee stating "Good public relations is applying common sense to the obvious".
