Original letter, framed (no glass) signed by author. Mr. E. L. Bernays, 19 E. 48th Street, New York City
My dear Mr. Bernays:
I want to let you know how highly I think of the work you have been doing for us. The results you got were quick, and grew in steadily increasing measure. You have shown that you know how to reach all classes of the public and to get the facts before them. You have been resourceful and have steadily impressed me as doing more and better work than I had any reason to expect.
The success of the work we have been trying to do here depended more than on any other single thing on having the people of the country realize the situation and cheerfully take up themselves the duty of looking after the welfare of men discharged from the service. Your work has been instrumental in getting the facts before the public in such a way as to help enormously in bringing this about.
With best regards, and many thanks, I am Sincerely yours, Arthur Woods, Assistant to the SecretaryCreated By
