The names Kammana East and Kammana West appear in historical Acre-subdistrict lists, indicating two small localities in the Upper Galilee rather than a single conventional village. They formed part of the mountainous and agricultural landscape of the northern Galilee, where small-scale cereal cultivation and grazing occurred alongside extensive rocky and uncultivable land.
