Place Description

A historic Palestinian town in the Acre subdistrict, situated on the western Galilee plain approximately 10 km southeast of Acre, where the town rises gently above the surrounding agricultural lands and connects the coastal plain with the interior Galilee. Its agricultural landscape included cereals, olives, and irrigated and plantation crops, while its fertile surrounding lands supported agriculture and the trade of agricultural produce.
