Description

"Hebron glass" refers to glass produced in Hebron as part of a flourishing art industry established in the city during Roman rule in Palestine. Each glass is for Melissa, her mother and her father (names are on the side). Acquired before 1967 in Hebron directly. Before June 6, 1967. These glasses belong to the larger jug. The set was used by her family when they returned home and have fond memories of this set growing up in the diaspora in Saudi Arabia. Left Jerusalem June 4/5, 1967 and on their way out could not get back to Saudi Arabia, and had to take a long trip to get to Tehran, Iran where they were stationed.
