Description

A classic six branch dress, using variegated yellow to brown threads with no regional distinction, incorporating cross stitch by hand with sewing machine use for dress construction. Blanket stitch on collar. Notable tall palms pattern of Ramallah used on the back bottom of the dress, and treated with multi-colored threads where it is typically left blank. Six branch dresses are styles that emerged in the 1960s without regional specificity, and represented a national Palestinian identity instead.
