Description

In response to the 1936-1939 Great Arab Revolt, the British Government released the 1939 White Paper. This document recommended limiting Jewish immigration and called for d eventual Palestinian self-determination. While the limits on Jewish immigration were enacted, the other policy recommendations were not adopted.
