Colorized postcard shows the edge of a lake with the Profile House sitting just beyond in the Franconia Notch. Trees surround the property and extend up onto the mountain side in the background. A valley is also visible. The Profile House is a large estate made up of a large white hotel and smaller buildings behing it. The Profile house was built in 1852 and burned down in 1923. In 1928, the land was dedicated as the Franconia Notch State Park.
