Description

"Landscapes of a disregarded gender" by The Phantomat (x5 pieces). Five framed pieces of art, "Landscapes of a disregarded gender" by The Phantomat. In the artist"s words: "When transitioning I glued these pieces of underwear of the gender to be shedded on paper and turned into landscapes, tapestries for painting. It was a ritualistic process that included moments of furiosity over having to be forced to live a gender like in a dictatorship. But there was also a strange sadness over leaving the prison that was my home for 40 years." The items have been exhibited at the Museum of Dark Matter. See also MOT/1120.
