Scope and Content

This document/letter/business correspondence is from the Chas. F. Garrigues Company sent to Mr. Andrew Rocca in regards to a shipment of quicksilver flasks. In this document, the shipment and moving of these flasks is of key importance. The steamer that was set to be leaving with this shipment was expected to leave Monday or Tuesday, because of this they were telling the Great Western Mercury Company that they needed to make sure to get these flasks of mercury to the steamer by the beginning of the week. They were expected to be sent out to the steamer over the weekend, specifically on Saturday. If they were not sent out on Saturday there was going to be a good chance that they would not make it on time to reach the steamer. Additionally, the Chas. F. Garrigues Company speaks about opting out of a future deal due to the low prices of another company. That company being "Braun-Kneckt & Heimann, who were selling flasks for as low as $86.00 per flask.
