Published in the Napa Valley Register 7/9/04 Myrtle Allen, R.N., Napa Born 9/11/1913 in Lehighton PA Died of natural causes 7/1/04 Mother of George and Donald Allen, sister of Edward Burke, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren Preceded in death by husband George Sr, parents Ida & Frank Burke, brother Bud & sister Marion of Lehighton PA, and her loving friend Alice (Waddy) Waddill Graduated from Morristown Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Morriston NJ in 1932. Later became hospital supervisor Moved to Napa in late 60s. Nursing supervisor at Queen of the Valley Hospital Worked with Alice at Art Linkletter Children's Hospital in NM, but missed Napa. When they came back she worked at the Veterans Home in Yountville Thanks to Jean Phillips, Jane Moore and Pam Walker for their loving care No services held Memorial donations to Androscoggin Health Care Hospital in Lewiston ME
