Published in the Napa Valley Register 3/1/05 Donald Amodeo, Napa Died 2/26/05, age 78, of progressive Superanuclear Palsey Born 8/29/1926 in St Paul MN to Rosario & Rose Amodeo, Sicilian immigrants, 4th of 7 children. Attended grammar and highs chool in St Paul MN At age 18 on 10/1944 he enlisted in the US Navy Served in the Central Pacific theater Discharged 6/1946 Recalled 10/1951 during Korean War Honorably discharged 7/1952 Lived in Vallejo for the next 45 years Married Jean Greggins in 1960 at St Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, Vallejo Worked at Benicia Arsenal, Mare Island Naval Shipyard, and Penn Mutual Life. Retired in 1990 after 25 years with Bank of America Moved to Napa in 1998 Preceded in death by parents, brothers Charles and Vincent and sister Rosemary Amodeo Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jean, daughters Christina (Christopher) Humm and Susan (Michael) Minahen, sons Matthew (Janette) and Kevin, 8 grandchildren: Rebecca Gilley, Anthony & Kelly Amodeo, Bryan & Devin Humm, Kimberly, Jenna & Michelle Minahen, 3 sisters: Phyllis Lee Jacobs, Eileen Clark & Sister Lorraine Amodeo O.P. Services held 3/3/05 at St Apollinaris Catholic Church in Napa Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Vallejo
