Description

Photograph of a woman holding a polaroid camera, taking a picture of beads laid out on a table. Beads and other Wappo materials were uncovered while digging to make a reservoir. The beads were found near Big Ranch Road in 1971 and 1972 and are documentation of what later became a case of grave robbery. The Napa County Coroner's Office investigated the case in 1992 to decide whether to seek a criminal indictment or ask for a voluntary return of artifacts and skeletal remains. PF Location: 143
