Scope and Content

A Collection of Short Stories by Rodney McCormick. Six incidents about the McCormick and the York families, intended for his family. Contents: Uncle Cad get all shot up--Chinese devil--My clothesline rope--Helping a friend--Indian clubs--Civil war--Rattlesnake Gene A handwritten note, included with the manuscript, from the donor, John W. York, explains that while the stories were originally intended to be kept "in the family", he belived that these stories were "fairly tame" and should be preserved. Includes a photocopy of a newspaper article from the 12.26.1890 Napa Register about an event described in the first story.
