Summary of story: Paul and Joan Powell had their townhouse so badly damaged by the September quake that they had to evacuate and move into a rental four doors down. Their old place will have to be razed. Cracked foundation. Side wall nearly fell and had to be cut off, exposing second story bedrooms to passersby. It's quite dramatic. ANd it's a year later, but they haven't been able to negotiate a price with the Veterans Admin to buy the lot and rebuild. THey lost $50,000 when the bank took the house back.
