Description
Published for the Lamoreaux Family
From the book jacket: "In 2008 the Lamoreaux Family embarked on a written history of Oak Knoll Ranch. We had amassed a variety of details about the major owners of Oak Knoll but needed someone to pull it together, and broaden our knowledge of this historic place and its people.
Through the great research and efforts of Dr. Rue Ziegler, Ph.D., we now have an extraordinarily detailed written archive of our historic past. Part of the discovery during this process were these wonderful sketches by Edward Vischer. The Claremont Colleges were gracious in allowing us to gain access to the sketches of Oak Knoll Farm.
The captions on many of the sketches were difficult to see so we replaced them with typed captions for easier reading.
You may wonder about the reference of White Oak vs. Valley Oak. Valley Oak is of the White Oak evolutionary Quercus Lobata lineage.
We hope you enjoy this pictorial journey into the past of a property that you all hold very dear to your hearts."
