Oversized photograph on heavy board depicting a large three story house, with sidewalk and telephone poles on the right.
Handwritten note and sticker on back read "'Franklin Apartments' Photo by S.S. Stearns. Built by Bill Coffield 1912-1916. West wing added in 1929 (not in photo) Per Herb. C. McCann."
Included with photo is an article from the Napa Register, 9/29/1981 with a photo of the building as it appeared at that time, after it had been turned into apartments. The article describes how the then new owner of the building performed renovations, and another photo shows the owner standing in front of one of the doors to the building, with the address of 1412 on the door (the building is described as being on Third Street). A clipping of the article was originally attached to the back of the photo; it has been replaced with a photocopy on archival paper. Article now in ephemera file.
