Note on back: "March 24, 1910- This is a picture of the store owned by Abe Straus, on the location where Carroll's Drug store is now on First St. Abe Straus owned the store and he employedd Bob Evens first one, Bob Woods and George---. The second store came into existence when Abe Straus, Men's Clothing, moved to Main Street where Rathman's in located. Bob Evens operated the store for years when Abe became an invalid and at Abe's death, he left Bob a portion of his estate. Bob Evens was always in Men's Clothing, Bob Woods, second one, sold autos in San Francisco in his later life. -Rita Harren Bordwell."
