Scope and Content

One of 12 binders from Brad Kirkpatrick relating to Pope Valley history. This large binder contains information on the mines in the Pope Valley region. There are newspaper articles on the following subjects: Aetna Mine, Knoxville Mine, Homestake Mine, Manhattan Mine, Bradford/Mirabel Mine, Redington Mine, Reed Mine, Oat Hill Mine, Palisades Mine, and White Rock Mine. There is also an Auction Booklet from January 29, 2003 that contains thousands of items that were up for auction from the Homestake Mine. The following items have been scanned: - An image published in a newspaper (that does not look like a Napa County newspaper) of the Homestake Mining Company that the historical society is unlikely to have - A letter from Kirkpatricks requesting items from Homestake - A hand drawn map from 1956 regarding the Oat Hill Mine - Photos regarding the Oat Hill Mine - Note from Louis Ezettie with information regarding the Palisades Mine - A number of original photographs, reprinted photographs, and photocopies largely regarding White Rock Mine
