Anne Roller Issler and I visited this spot after her book Our Mountain Hermitage was printed in 1950. She explained why the vein of ore stopped suddenly, which lead to further exploration being abandoned. She wrote constantly to anyone who would help her realize her dream of this spot becoming a State Park. Margaret C. Hoover (The man in the picture was a stranger and just put in the picture to give scale)." There is also a label on the back from the Silverado Camera Club in Napa.
