1987Notes
(American) Born and raised in East Boston, Massachusetts, I have now lived in Hollis, New Hampshire for many years. With an engineering degree in mechanical design technology I worked in a high tech industry until 1986. It was then that I left corporate life to pursue a career in fine art. My medium is oil paint and I work in a style that I like to describe as Representational Impressionism. My subject matter is that of light and atmosphere and its effects on both the urban and rural landscape. I also like to create mixed media paintings of both contemporary and abstract themes. Some of the shows I have exhibited my work in were at: the Currier Museum of Art, Manchester, NH; Whistler House Museum of Art, Lowell, MA; Nashua Center for the Arts, Nashua, NH; Salon des Artistes, Hotel Meridien, Boston, MA; and Manchester Institute of Arts & Sciences, Manchester, NH. Articles about me are in: Palette Talk Magazine, cover artist, issue # 78, 1990 by M. Grumbacher, Inc. and Design New England Magazine, March/April 2018 feature article “Changing Views”.
