A.W. “Art” Thompson of Nebraska is considered one of the greatest registered beef cattle auctioneers of all time. He was the chief auctioneer for the National Ram Sale held First in Salt Lake City during the 1930’s and was later hired by R.J Kinzer to cry the Denver Hereford auctions, as well as others across the nation. Thompson was chief auctioneer for the Baca Grande Hereford dispersion, which was the first registered cattle sale to hit the half-million dollar total, and sold many other record sales throughout his career.Type of Sculpture
