20th CenturyNotes
The coin's manufacturer is unknown, as well as its location, but it is attributed to be used at the Winkle Mercantile and Agricultural Co. in Winkle, Illinois. The township of Winkle was established in 1903 when Joseph Winkle bought the site and built the Bald Eagle Mine and "a company store, the Winkle Mercantile and Agricultural Company." Therefore, the coins are likely from after 1903.Lexicon
