2024.00.87 A BScope and Content
Two images on front and back, opening to ads for the corsets; the card is shaped as a corset - the front image [A] has a botanical scene, "Dr. Warner's | Coraline Corsets" and the back image [B] is a pink corset with ties and a small cupid angel at the top, "W. B." written at the waist. Ad on back side of the [A] botanical image: "Warner Brothers celebrated Coraline Corsets received 5 gold and 2 silver medals in 1885, at the Expositions of New Orleans and Louisville, and the Inventions Exposition of London. The superiority of Coraline over horn or whalebone has now been demonstrated for over five years' experience. It is more durable, more pliable, more comfortable, and never breaks. Avoid cheap imitations made of various kinds of cord. None are genuine unless 'Dr. Warner's Coraline' is printed on the inside of the steel cover." Ad on the back side of the [B] pink corset image: "The leading styles of corsets stiffened with Coraline are as follows: Dr. Warner's Health, Nursing, Abdominal, Flexible Hip, Coraline, Four-in-Hand, and Misses'.
