A luncheon menu from June 24, 2005, when President George W. Bush hosted a bilateral meeting, joint press conference, and working lunch at the White House honoring Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari. The White House meetings were about the progress on Iraq's newly elected transitional government and democratic state-building; working on the drafting of the new Iraqi constitution, the development and training of Iraqi security forces, and the shared rejection of a firm timetable or deadline for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, amid rising political and congressional debates in Washington.Collection
