French Woman Falling PostcardEntry/Object ID
1998.029.015Description
On the front of the postcard is a woman on roller skates who recently fell wearing a nice dress; she has blonde hair and pale skin; the woman is wearing a large brown hat with a large feather(?) on it, a blue dress with a pink collar, ruffled white blouse, black belt, pink stockings, white petticoats, white gloves, and yellowish brown roller skates; her grey hand muffler is on the ground; there is a green and white 5 cent French postage stamp with a black circular stamp on top it (this stamp most likely had the information of when and where this was sent, but it is too smudged to read); the artist's signature is printed in black below the woman.
On the back of the postcard is "Carte Postale" in large print as well as sections titled as "Correspodance" and "Adresse", all in black print; in the lower right-hand corner is "G.H. Paris, Série 7" also in black print. There is a handwritten note and address written down in black ink, all in French. Circa 1910.Collection
