Lonett Wood PostcardEntry/Object ID
1982.046.022Description
The front of the postcard is a black and white photograph of Lonett Wood, a woman speed skater; Wood's sweater has "Elite Rink" printed on it in white. Wood signed the front: "Sincerely / Lonett Wood / Mil. Wis / 1913". Much of the back of the postcard is obscured by rips. Everything printed on the back is in faded black print: "Post Card" in large print at the top; two sections: "Correspondence" and "Name and Address". Handwriting on the back with information about when and where this photograph was taken: "May 3, 1913 / Riverview Rink Milwaukee / ... / Lonett.". There is more handwriting on the right-hand side, but the tears have made it too difficult to parse.Collection
