Black and white photo on the front of the postcard; photo of a young man wearing tights, tiny shorts, and a long sleeved shirt with a shield shaped patch on it that says "Redondo Roller Club"; the man is also wearing white socks that are folded over at the top with dark colored roller skates with four wheels each; the man is posing with a big smile on his face; underneath the boy, written in what looks like white marker, is "Puget Sound Amateur Speed Champion / Redondo Roller Rink / Mar 16-17, 1938". The back of the postcard is all in black print and is a standard postcard layout with "Post Card" in large print at the top, a "Correspondence" and an "Address" section as well as a postage stamp area in the upper right-hand corner with a border made out of the letters "A Z O" and squares in the corners. There is also writing, in pencil, on the back. On the right-hand side, vertically is "Pat Pattison" (name of the skater on the front); at the bottom: "1...15...trim(?) to skaters".
