Artwork Details

Subject

Bottom right is the black fingerprint. Why does Pete put it there? Why does his portrait have one? What does it mean? Why is Linda the only one with a white fingerprint on her portrait? Is she the only one clean of sin? Did creating idols of these monsters begin to intrude on Pete's identity? What did he feel as he finished the final portrait of the last 9/11 terrorist? Center is a black blob that seems to have intestines strewn across its left side. In the center of this amorphous thing are more pieces of what seems to be human organs. I close my eyes and still the painted organs haunt me. The two pinks are now a part of my vision. The violence that fills this seemingly actionless piece is vivid and real. I wonder why this piece has no title when deep inside I know the answer, something so dark that revealing it would be to reveal the true name of evil.
