Description

View of Potosi Street in Caribou, Colorado, c1870s. Werley's saloon is first building on left, followed by the post office and other stores. Across the street was the community church, Murphy's meat market with the balcony and second-floor dance hall, a boarding house, two more saloons, and the Sherman House hotel. Some of the people and other dark areas have been enhanced by pencil and/or pen. Print also in 20224.10.63
