English, ca. 1880. Reproduction Georgian Hepplewhite- style Chairs feature mahogany inlaid with lighter wood, with shield-backs with tapered legs. Furniture in this style was popular in England and America from 1790-1815 and is characterized by the use of classical motifs derived from discoveries at Pompeii and other Roman archaeological sites.
