This stunning blue ostrich feather and mother of pearl fan was designed to make a statement. With individual feathers mounted on mother of pearl sticks, the fan spans 24 inches in length and breadth. The fan belonged to Mattie B. Francis, and was a gift to the museum from her daughter, Mopsy Burrows.
