Figurine, Santa Claus

Name/Title

Figurine, Santa Claus

Context

The Neill-Cochran House Museum is filled with holiday cheer and Christmas ornaments from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One figure is better represented than all the others, Jolly Ole St. Nick! Large and small, on the tree or on the mantle, there are Santa Clauses everywhere you look. How many are there? Well, you will have to come yourselves and make a Kris Kringle count. Many of these Santa figurines belong to the Adams Collection and were given to the Museum by Ms. Barbara Adams. Some were gifted by Ms. Toni Wirth. They have a variety of provenances and some are handmade, but they are all charming and unique.
