Name/Title
Early 20th Century Photo AlbumContext
This fifty-page photo album is filled with a combination of travel postcards and seasonal greetings, all addressed to Knox Briscoe Howe (born 1903) and to his mother Mrs. Milton Grovesnor Howe between 1908 and 1913.
John Horsley is credited by most historians with designing the first postcard for commercial sale in 1843, and the first postcard was a Christmas greeting! Postcards were considered collectibles and often were scrapbooked, as you see here.
