Irish, ca 1770. George III Chippendale style mahogany dining chair (one of six). Curved bow shape at top of frame from which five narrow slats joined in the middle form a splat. Front legs straight, sightly tapered. Back legs curve very slightly. Gift of Mrs. Edwin M. Jones, Mr. & Mrs. Ike S. Kampmann, Sr., Mrs. William Moyse Ratliff, Mrs. Lewis DuPont
