Context

French, ca. 1850-1880. Each holds a Sevres style bowl with three delicate, curved, brass arms extending into three candleholders. Main medallions depict a man serenading a women inspired by Jean-Antoine Watteau's La gamme d'amour, and a couple with a basket of flowers after Francois Boucher's Pastorale and the Four Seasons: Autumn. Gift of Mrs. Leonidas T. Barrow.
