Description

"Nevada Northern SD7 #401 rolls a northbound Shafter Turn past Cherry Creek station on Friday, September 17, 1976. With mining operations closed due to pollution issues in McGill, NN freight service is down to on-call-only with one train a week on average. Today's switch list is short-three gondola loads of scrap waybilled to the Western Pacific seperate NN's handsome diesel and caboose #6. It's been a few years since the Cherry Creek agent put out orders to a passing train."
