Description

Black and white postcard of the NY Putnam Rail Road Station, Millwood, NY. The N.Y. Central moved this station from Briarcliff Manor to Millwood in 1910. It sat alongside a discarded new York and Northern baggage car which served as the railroad's freight house, which was once active in the shipment of cider and vinegar from the New Castle area. Originally known as Merritt's Corners, the Millwood station closed its doors in 1958 when passenger service on the "Old Put" ended.
