"Horace Greeley was born in 1811. In 1826 as a lad of 15, he was apprenticed to work on the "Northern Spectator: which was published in this house. In 1830 Horace set forth from Poultney on the road which was to lead to his founding the New York Tribune in 1841 and his seeking the Presidency in 1872. 'Go West Young Man, Go West.'"
