Context

A landmark building built by Horace Greeley for use as a barn. This was the first concrete veneered building in the United States. In 1892, Horace's daughter, Gabrielle Greeley Clendenin converted the barn into her home, later naming it Rehoboth House. The family remained there until 1954.
