Description

Original black and white photograph of the U.S. Navy dirigible/zeppelin "Los Angeles." It flew over Chappaqua on September 5, 1930 during the dedication of the new railroad bridge. However, as the Navy did not fly on weekends, the dirigible/zeppelin/blimp missed the town's Bicentennial celebration (September 6, 1930) by just one day.
