1968-13-13Description
Original black and white photograph captures a float from Chappaqua's Bicentennial Parade, September 6, 1920, featuring reenactors portraying Horace Greeley and his family. The float is adorned with fabric garlands and a modest stage setup, including chairs and a desk, likely meant to evoke a scene from Greeley’s life. A man with a long beard, dressed in period attire, stands as Greeley, while others represent his family members, including a woman in a bonnet and two younger figures interacting nearby.
